2nd Tour day: Athens sightseeing, Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library.
Driving down Herod Atticus street, you will see the Evzones in their picturesque uniform and the Presidential Palace.
On your way to the acropolis you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and you will make a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896.
Then Acropolis, the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens, Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion, and finally Parthenon-
a place any civilized person has to visit. We complete our tour with a visit
of new Acropolis museum. Then driving towards Peloponnesus after a short
stop at
Corinth canal with its breathtaking view we arrive at the beautiful
seaside town of Tolo. Dinner and overnight
3rd Tour day:
This morning we'll visit the Homeric city of
Mycenae (1300 B.C.) to see the Lions Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the
Royal Tombs and later
we visit Epidavros, with the famous for its acoustics ancient theater
(4th century B.C.) Then driving through central Peloponnesus and after a short stop at
Nafplio, the first capital of Greece in its modern history, we arrive
to Olympia. Dinner and overnight.
7th Tour day: This morning. after a driving trough Macedonian
area we'll arrive at the beautiful town of Kastoria renown center
of the fur industry and also famous for its lake and its 75 Byzantine
churches. We'll walk through the Neolithic lake settlement 7000 years old, and
admire the reconstruction of the village which represents the contemporary museological concept.
Then driving through Western Macedonia we arrive in the picturesque town of Edessa
with its beautiful waterfalls and later we visit Pella, the capital of
Alexander the Great. We'll see the archeological site
and admire the exquisite floor mosaics of the 4th century B.C. We'll also visit the local museum.
8th Tour day: This morning we see the city sights and some of the oldest and most characteristic Byzantine churches. Then we drive to Vergina to see the tomb of King Philip - Great Alexander's father - and the famous Vergina Gold Treasure. On the way back to Athens we stop at Leonidas monument and we arrive late afternoon in Athens. Remarks

1st Tour Day: Athens Arrival in Athens. Transfer to the hotel in
Athens. Optionally you can have a Greek night at Plaka (Athens old
town), in a Greek tavern with folklore program.
4th Tour
day: Morning in Olympia
the cradle of the Olympic Games, where we visit the museum with the famous
Hermes sculpture of Praxitelus and the archeological site with the Olympic stadium of 45,000 seating capacity
and all other monuments. Here the first Olympic games took place in 776 B.C. Then pass by Patras and crossing the Corinthian bay by the new
bridge, following the coastal road we arrive at Delphi. Dinner and overnight.
5th Tour
day:
Today we'll see the naval (omfalos) of the world Delphi. We'll see the archeological site and the museum. At Delphi you might get Pythia’s
chrism for your future and the future of the world, as it has happen to many Kings and Emperors in the past. Even Alexander the Great got her advice
before conquering the word. Later driving through central Greece country we
arrive at Kalambaka. Dinner and overnight.
6th Tour Day:
This morning
we'll visit the unique Byzantine monasteries of Meteora, containing historical and religious treasures; standing
between earth and the sky atop huge rocks .Drive through the valley of Tempi, we arrive and visit the famous sacred
ancient city of Dion, at the food of Mount Olympus, the highest
mountain in Greece and home of the 12 Gods of Mythology. Then drive to
Thessaloniki, second largest city of Greece . Dinner and overnight
On the way
back to Thessaloniki we stop at a winery to see the production and test
the famous local "tsipouro". one of the strongest liquids of Greece. Arrival in Thessaloniki.
